A practical demonstration and workshop on the beautiful details of ferns, mosses, horsetails and liverworts, the often-neglected green background of our parks and gardens. Live demonstrations using modern stereo-binocular and high magnification microscopes with live video projection so that all participants can see at the same time. Making use of plants from the Tropical Ravine and Belfast Botanic Gardens, freshly collected for the workshop. This will be of interest gardeners, natural historians and a great source of inspiration for artists.
