Zookeeping is not just shovelling poo and seeing magnificent animals every day. Over 90% of our keepers are qualified in the science behind animal care, health, behaviour, nutrition, and much more to enable them to care for endangered animals. Would you like a little taster of all of that? During our half day learning experience, you will be talking to keepers, curators, educators, researchers, the vet and getting some hands-on experience. You will learn the importance of caring for elephants’ feet and see up close how it’s done. Use your imagination and create an enrichment item to support the mental well-being of one of our animals.
